About
Strange Raven flies on a fresh wind, captivating audiences with their self-titled brand of ‘electromericanica’. The enigmatic pair, VOX and VULTUS channel Florence and the Machine vocals, Daft Punk beats, and the anthemic grit of Periphery into a genre-bending, otherworldly experience all their own.
The fledgeling duo has released four singles since its inception in 2025. Their electronic-infused debut, Bad Chemistry, landed the band an opening slot for former Ghost member and rock-popera icon, Mad Gallica, and a feature in Wilmington’s Star News. Follow up singles – an electrified reimagining of The Cranberries’ classic, “Zombie”, anthemic, 7-minute epic, “Siren”, and their freshly released, queer-exploration, “Do That Again” – solidified their position as a growing force in the underground rock scene. They soar into 2026 with their biggest show yet, performing at Greenfield Lake Amphitheatre this April, and plan to manifest their first album: Being/Matter, an introspective consideration of loss and creation.
More myth than music act, their immersive lore has galvanized their dedicated and curious fanbase into a true Kindness, correcting the traditional collective noun for a group of ravens: an “unkindness”. Rather than ominous harbingers of death, these conspicuous cryptids aim to inspire radical empathy, inviting listeners to challenge the narratives they have constructed for their world, and see through a Raven’s eye.
Let us peer behind the curtain; are you certain, are you certain?
For to see is to be unseen, what we were you are no more.
When the tapestry of reason births a tear - a weeping lesion -
Pull the thread till fibers bleeding, pool like chaos on the floor
Such, our story from that chaos that lies tangled on the floor
- Weaved from madness, we perform
